1909 Topping & Co. Detroit Tigers Postcards

I have 14 origin post cards with Ty Cobb and the other two Hall of Fame members . I found them in my attic back in the 1940s. They are dusty and tattered. I would like to sell these cards but don't know the value. I would like some help.

Awesome! Post some pictures if you have time to. I'd love to see them. I would guess a complete set in lower condition would be worth around $6k or so. Just a guess. Good luck!

Email me the pictures and I'll post them for you using my Photobucket account. jeffcolburn@gmail.com
  • Thank you, I will try to send them.
  • For the record I have little interest in these postcards personally. I don't collect postcards per se and have enough going on that I don't need to buy them.
As I told the OP on the phone, condition is very important. He said these are fairly low grade. I gave him estimates based on what he told me and what they would be if they were in excellent condition (a lot more). I laid out the several ways to sell them so he can make an informed decision that is best for him. Hopefully he gets all he can for them. He seems like a very nice gentleman.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

It's always very cool to see something you've never heard of before.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
