Is anyone aware of an commonly occurring condition issues with this set? Or specific cards harder to find in top grade? Thanks

    : raises hand :

I absolutely *love* this set but put it on the back burner a couple years ago, even though I was only a couple cards short of completing it. They are notorious for being OC and most often, the front or back will be more so than the other. An extremely rare 'error' were sheets that were put in the wrong order and fronts didn't correspond with the back. The more common, yet corrected, errors are Whizzer and Tinsely flip flops. The toughies in higher grade, at least that I can recall, are/were Weir, Sinkwich, Osterbann, and Parker.

    Good luck!
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

I believe board member "macboube" has MANY hi graded cards from this set. IIRC, he and a friend had mint cellos boxes that his friend's dad had for YEARS! They submitted 100's of cards and even got some 10's. Have not seen him around recently, but you may want to send him a PM.

It has been awhile, and you can probably tell a lot from scanning the pop reports (free to see on PSA's site), but I recall the O' Rourke and Wojiecowicz (I likely spelled that wrong) being the two toughest cards in PSA 8.

    Good luck. Great set!

I collected this set for a while several years ago. It was fun, the cards are attractive and relatively easy to find available. Plus, it's not a huge set, so completing a graded set isn't too hard of a goal to accomplish.
