Shipping Wax Cases

I'm sure there is no single right answer to this question, so I just want to get a few opinions....

I have quite a few wax cases that came with a collection I bought a while back. I've been sitting on them because I'm not real sure how to ship them. They are all junk wax, less than $200/case. Can I ship them in the boxes as they are, or do I need to double box them? Also, is it acceptable to add some tape to the case to make sure it stays closed as some of the tape has started to peel away on the ends?

Thanks in advance for your replies!

    +1

I've never shipped one, but have received them both ways. The double boxed cases are perfect and the one that was not double boxed had issues. One of the corners was damaged a bit, and so were the cards in that area.

Always double box, not just for protection but also because a buyer doesn't want a box with shipping labels and postage all over it especially if keeping as a sealed case. Would you slap a postage label on a wax box? I see it as the same, a case is a giant wax box.
