1980 Topps FB - Beasley Reece Error

According to Beckett, there are supposed to be 2 versions of card #374 Beasley Reece. 'A' has no position listed on the front and 'B' does. Can anyone confirm if this error (the 'A' version) actually exists? I've been hunting for one for several years and never run across one for sale or even seen a pic of one anywhere and am starting to doubt it's existence.

I can confirm that the Reece card exists. The version I have does show the "S" but you have to look very closely to see it - from any reasonable distance it does not appear there is anything there. It appears that there may have been an obstruction and or print error - as the black print in the area around where the position should be is also faded. Tough to say how many examples of this card exist - the one I have is the only one I have seen.

I would love to be able to attach a picture or two of the card but I don't appear to have access. Any tips for how I can go about attaching images to these posts?

Sounds like a nifty nickname is all this card needs. 'Reece NPOF' should do the trick, in honor of the Frank Thomas plate obstruction/print defect.
