Looks like 4SC is ready to take further advantage of the dumb prices people are paying these days. Great for sellers...that's for sure.
I made a bid last night on a pretty expensive card (expensive for me)..I bid about 25% over SMR and a little more than the last one sold on eBay. It went for double the SMR price. Craziness.
I was just using SMR as a guide along with past eBay sales, as well as VCP...the SMR was higher than the last one that sold on eBay and the VCP average. I agree, its like seeing an old mope dealer pull out a Beckett...
Not sure why 4SC is getting called out on their high BIN....ebay is full of sellers with outrages BIN prices as well. Perhaps I don't know the backstory.
EDIT: I've purchased from 4SC on their website and with the 10% off, I've paid either avg or below VCP on some cards.
I sold a 1/1 PSA 9 Gretzky for $1,800.00 last month. Also sold a 1/3 PSA 9 Gretzky for $1,000.00 last month to the same guy. Both went to the #1 guy on the Gretzky Set Registry.
One part of me says some collectors have more money than sense. Another part of me says if I were a Gretzky fan for years and collected him and had that kind of coin I'd do the same thing and want to rule his Registry with an iron fist.
I have always found their BIN prices to be reasonable and their discounts at the store great.
The Savard card looks awfully nice. Even has a slight rough edge at the top. Thought for certain it would have come from a sheet. A PSA 10 1/1 difficult HOF RC from 1969 for $15,000 does not seem that out of line. What would a PSA 10 Reggie Jackson RC or PSA 10 Bert Blyleven RC sell for?

Exactly. The Savard is a prime time card. Worth what someone is willing to pay. And someone will pay mega $$$ for it.

<< <i>4SC always is off on their pricing. They have 2 Parrish cards I need but are almost $100, those are $20 on high end >>
One has gotta be the 81 Topps PSA 10. Been on the site for a minute. I am no threat to buy that. Quite content with my ungraded 81's for that year
