I ripped four 1979 OPC packs. There were no PSA quality megahits, but I don't ussually see too many stars when I rip old packs. So this was fun.
Long ago, I remember ripping packs and looking for stars without much concern for condition. As far as I was aware back then, it was simply a new card. Therefore it was mint and we could check becket if we cared to know it's exact value. With that in mind here's what I pulled.
First, all four packs had the back card attached to the gum. I think the wax kind of looks like it's there to frame the cards. I don't expect that to fly with PSA, but maybe I can put it on e-bay and say it was matted at the factory. Regardless, these cards are pack fresh. : )
Here's the highlights. Thanks for reading.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
<< <i>Maybe you can consign them with Rick? LOL >>
To be clear, I'm only saying he's not a god. Seems like a great seller and a nice guy from what I can see. Folks just go too far.
<< <i>Nice star power for a small sample size, Darren! >>
It was a blast. Thanks Tim!
<< <i>72 OPC is also known for cards damaged by gum and the stick was so wide back then, it occasionally ruined all 8 cards. >>
oh wow, that would be awful. I will be sure to just keep those sealed.
I actually kind of enjoy the novelty of the carter. I've got it in a box exactly how it's pictured here.
