Positive Feedback w/ Comments

I recently left positive feedback with comments that the cards did not have their condition accurately listed. Lot of 60 cards listed as "MINT" but none of the cards would grade mint in my opinion. Is this too harsh? I thought it was reasonable considering the majority of issues were detectable to the naked eye (centering/printing defects). Should I have communicated with the seller first? Of course I'd communicate with a seller before leaving negative feedback, but I didn't think this was a big deal. What are your opinions?

If you have to think about or ask about it, then it wasn't the right thing to do. If you left the feedback and didn't think twice about it, then it was the right thing to do. It is all about what makes your wheels turn, but you certainly don't need anyone else to give feedback on your feedback. Posts like this turn real ugly real quickly.

I didn't think of it as a problem until I received an email from the seller. I feel OK with what I did. Not seeking approval, just the perspective of people who sell a lot on eBay.

  • If not one of 60 cards was as described, how is that a positive transaction? One of the reasons sellers continue to mis-grade cards is buyers are so scared to leave accurate feedback.

Either the transaction is positive (meaning a or above expectations), neutral (poor packaging, slow shipping, not as accurately described as possible) or negative (missing items, damaged due to poor packaging, weeks to ship).

Sorry for the rant but I can't understand how someone would leave a positive rating for a product that wasn't what they ordered. If I order the chicken, and rabiit comes, that is not a positive experience, even if rabbit tastes a bit like chicken. Even if they go back and make the chicken, and it comes after everyone around me has eaten....still not a positive experience. I wish buyers would hold sellers to the same standard.

    Yup this +1.

If the cards are not as described then do not leave a positive. If you feel like you can't leave a neutral or neg in the case then don't complain in the positive comment.

If none of the cards are mint then you should demand a refund then leave feedback based on how the seller responds. Either neutral if he doesn't give you a hard time or a neg if he gives you a hard time and forces you to use eBay/PP Buyer Protection.
