I thought it was pretty spot on with all the points made. I could have done without "Mr. Mint", although he wasn't particularly his normal obnoxious self in this documentary.
Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Also, the man that talks about set building about half way through hit the nail on the head.
He said that not many (especially kids) collect sets anymore. It's all about hitting the lottery with a big pack pull. I actually love putting sets together. That is the one of the main foundations of this great hobby, and when people get away from that I think it hurts the hobby. Just my opinion.
(Edited to say this). I made that statement above with the video paused after the guy with the goatee mentioned sets. After I typed the above statement, Mr Mint says almost exactly the same thing. I agree 100% with him.
Nice video I frequent Alex's MVP in NYC - good shop - old school. Does a nice job of mixing vintage cards in the cases with new issue boxes and packs. Also carries comics. Classic shop.
<< <i>Very fun to watch. Being from the south, I also love to hear those guys talk. "Whitey 'Fod' ". You can tell they are from New Yawk! I love baseball "cods"! Seriously though, very good watch. >>
That's NOT a New Yawk accent my friend ... that's a New England accent! Here on Lawn Guyland, he is known as Whitey Fawd!
STAY HEALTHY!
