Your thoughts on Modern Group Breaks

Normally, I enjoy breaking my own boxes and cases but I made an exception. There is a 10 Case 2013 Bowman Jumbo Baseball group break that I'm participating in. The key to this is there is a slot for every prospect/rookie card and a few slots for case hits and base. In this break there are 270 slots at $50 each. I know I'm nuts considering the only player that I knew in the Auto checklist was Manny Machado. I did some research on the names drafted in a previous break(same setup, different host) and of the 12 players I researched, more than half were 19 or younger. There was even one that was suspended for lying about his age, get this, he was 16 instead of 17(age to sign MLB contract). Anyhow, I know this is the BBCE Group Break forum(I've taken part in many) but I'd like to know if anyone here has participated or hosted any of these before and what are your thoughts?

    I'm assuming you are talking about the one on blowout cards. Maybe the one that nordy is running? I have participated in a bunch of those kind of breaks and they are great!! Of course it's nice to get a top 30 or so spot, but some of those picks later on in the draft you never know. Good luck with it and have fun!!

    If it's the one that just went to active, yes. I'm actually looking forward to where I'll fall. I found myself on random.org doing the list myself. haha. I did it 10 times and was #1 and #4 in them. I figure if I get a low spots, I'll just do some of those 1 per case hits and hope for the best.

    If you get lower spots, you could always trade or buy up. Yes to the 1 per case thing or inserts. They always sell well and if you hit a #ed one, even better!! You should look for Houdinis breaks on blowout as well. I mostly just get into his breaks. Same type of break as what you are in.

    $270 slots at $50 each is criminal considering the case price.

    The price per slot is for 10 jumbo cases worth per spot.
