"PRO" Grading

I would love to hear what opinions there are about PRO graded cards. There are frequent high end cards holdered by them that pop up now and again.

Stay away. They are altered, hopelessly overgraded by PSA standards, or both.
  • Pass on those.

    PSA/SGC/BGS or nothing!

It's been said on here many times before ... if a card in a "PRO SLAB" would obtain the same grade from PSA, it would be sitting in a PSA slab.

  • The only experience that I ever had with crossing over a PRO card was a...not kidding...1997 Finest Michael Jordan Atomic Embossed Die Cut Refractor /74. It's been close to 10 years ago but I'm sure I could still look it up on Beckett's website. It was a PRO 10 and I cracked it out and got a BGS 9.5 (I was more into BGS at the time). It can happen!

That's a great result ... just like sometimes when you RIP a 60's pack you will get a card worth more than the sealed pack. HOWEVER, if you continue my best guess would be that you will lose money. Good Luck with whatever you chose.

  • I'd buy a Jordan RC slabbed in a ziplock sandwich bag off eBay before a PRO slabbed version

I'd pass on any grading company besides the big 3!
