Trying to assemble a list of the 'wax' boxes available in the 80s...I am probably missing something -- anyone notice a glaring omission?

There were also the Topps UK Mini Cards wax boxes available in 1988 and 1989. They are pretty rare.

Agreed, I was able to pick up one of each cheaply. Most listings have these as Topps American Baseball (as stated on the box) rather than as UK Mini's (as listed in the guides). Active listings are 7:2 with American Baseball in the title cheaper by far.

Also, several years of Topps Leaders Minis (86-89), 1980 Topps Supers, Donruss Action All-Stars (83 for sure & probably other years), etc.

Beckett used to have wax boxes listed, but it doesn't look like they do any longer.

Fleer Star Stickers had a box in 1984 too.

I thought about Donruss Action All Stars -- were the Pop Ups Donruss as well? Made some edits above -- thanks for the input.

I'm pretty sure there were Topps Supers in 1984, 1985, and 1986 as well.

1986 through 1989 also had Mini boxes, I think.

Not sure yet -- because there are also the 85T in 81T and 82T boxes.

Personally, I wouldn't include the regular packs found in regular boxes from a different year. There's nothing unique about that and anyone could just put certain packs in a different box and call it a day. But being someone who loves variations, any kind of variation to the regular pack or box would be something I would include, and the 1989 Donruss has both a different box and different wrapper than the US counterpart.

Yeah, but that's just not fair. I would understand the exclusion of an 89 Heads-Up box based on nearly impossible odds of obtaining one.

The 1982 and 1983 Fleer Stamps were issued in dispensers, so not sure if you want to include them or not.

1980-84 Pacific (Cramer) Legends 120 card set 4 series of 30.

These were released in packs. Good luck trying to find a box. I've never seen one for sale.
