Clicked on your link, noticed the auction is live, logged-in, ended-up buying a coin not from Mexico

Thanks, Z. I hope it looks more like the coin facts image and less like the auction one.
Anything for you in this session?

I noticed the Tuscany 10 Paoli in N62 hammered at $2000. The Cromwell Crown in N62 hammered at $11,500. Both are a bit strong, but not shockingly so. The Saxony Taler in N65 only hammered at $3000, which seems like a reasonable wholesale level. But, the Klippe at N58 hammered at $3K+ I think. Ouch!
Well, time for me to focus on what's ahead. Stay tuned!

Um, yeah, both of those went for 4-5x the Estimate. Good grief. I watch, but man all mighty the prices were strong. I was actually moreso watching the CWT lots and some of the medals -- but those went equally as high. Some of the colonial Canadian tokens went for big money in Session 2 this morning also. Maybe another day...

Both are nice pieces. Just for comparison, an even more spectacular example of the Port of Ripetta 1/2 Piastra (though from different dies) sold for 13,000 EUR (over $17,000) in June:

An example from, it appears, the same dies as the Stack's example sold for 2000 EUR ($2668) at the same sale:

I did not participate but found the bids on the sede vacante talers to be strong. Lot 13139 was beautiful.
