Anybody have loggage from dropoff subs at National yet?

Am sure they got a bunch in dropoffs in Chicago - anybody's logged in yet?

The two days I was at the show the PSA booth was swamped. I have to think this has something to do with the delay.

For the guys that dropped off packs, when did you submit them? I didn't submit my packs until Friday and still do not have loggage. image

Not that it matters much as they will be away for quite some time, lol.

170 card submission dropped off to PSA at the National on Saturday. No loggage love yet.
They were busy the entire time of the National so I will be patient.

Wonder how many items PSA graded/authenticated during the National

Their delay didn't start with the National. I'm sure it didn't help much, but PSA's turn-around times have been horrid for a while now.
I had a 30-day submission pop today... on (their math) business day #40. It took 62 calendar days to get to 40... wow.
The last dozen or so submissions have been late. I've tried a few different service levels as well.
If you submit to PSA... you HAVE to be patient, and forget about getting your stuff in the time-frame you pay for. It's frustrating, but it is what it is and has been for a while.

still waiting on 4 submissions dropped off at the nationals on Thursday and one 10 pack sub...still also waiting on 1 sub from june 5thimage
  • I know logging and popping wait times have been discussed here a lot. I've only been subbing for just over two years now and only 3 of the 12 subs I've sent in have popped on time and those were the three 7 day free subs you get when you sign up / renew. It bugged me a lot at first, am now used to it. Having said that what bothers me more now is the fact that they don't address it in any way publicly. Every month I read an inane column by PSA Prez Joe Orlando in their magazine. Why not use that to discuss why it is taking them so long. Even a few numbers like "In 2009 we graded X amount of cards, this year we are on pace to grade X cards. We've taken the following steps in an attempt to improve customer wait times: "

In an unrelated matter I still don't see anything on their site about the new holders.

As far as how many cards they are grading, I believe their quarterly 10Q statement includes that information... or at least they used to back when I held CLCT stock.

In terms of the delays, I agree it would be nice to have CU comment and reset expectations if this is, in fact, the new normal.

My complaint is when Joe's article (and/or the other main articles in an issue) focus on NONsports cards. It is called SMR -SPORTS MARKET REPORT and it sucks when I look forward to reading the new issue and I find it focuses on zombies or lighthouses.

Some of the people here, including myself, collect nonsport. Since PSA grades nonsport, they should write about it too.

If there is truly that much of a market for nonsports cards to devote entire issues to them, then they should put out a monthly NMR...but those articles don't belong in the SMR if that is what I am paying for.

The Walking Dead issue was a special edition for Comic Con. And, yes, PSA grades non-sports cards and has a pricing section of the magazine devoted to non-sports cards.

Do you complain about Burger King having chicken sandwiches on the menu?

I would if they said "This month we are going to replace the burgers you like with a bunch of new chicken sandwiches...we hope you like them"

And since you you brought up Burger King, I do kinda feel like these guys when they fill the SMR with nonsports articles.
