    Thanks for sharing that, Zurbs.

I'm not brave enough to even THINK of trying to complete this beast of a set, but I sure would like to have one of the singles in my pre-war type collection some day.

I'll be watching these two on eBay to see if the seller gets any bites... but I am holding out for a graded example.

Speaking of which, not sure what I was more amazed to read, that PSA has graded zero or that BVG has graded 5!

  • And Sportscard Guaranty (never heard of them) have graded 12 of them.

I'm surprised you haven't heard of SGC as they have long been considered one of the reputable top 3 grading companies (along with PSA and BGS).

SGC is best known in the pre-war niche and has a rabid following with many of those collectors, so no surprise they have graded the most of these Silbers to date.

Even on this board people often mention how aesthetically pleasing their slabs (and black gaskets) are compared to PSA and Beckett for some releases.

  • Ha. Turns out I just didn't know what SGC stood for.
