1983 Fritsch Visalia Oaks Puckett

This card is one of my personal white whales, but I can't quite tolerate the L/R centering on this one. It goes along with the recent 1983 OPC Gwynn PSA 10 the 4SC has listed with the fugly tilt. Both of these cards are on my want list. It's just frustrating to see your card pop up on ebay after waiting only to see who's selling it. To be clear, I'm not saying it isn't within guidelines, just that I don't want it. Boooooo!

I think you are really trying to say something else, but I get it.

You've got good taste in cards! I'm a fan of both of those. The Puckett seems to be really difficult to find with 50/50 L/R centering. And the Gywnn is just a beast all around. I've submitted probably a dozen '83 OPC Gwynn's that I thought all had a shot at PSA 9 or 10, and ended up receiving several 8's and three or four 9's. I would say be patient, but also be ready to pay more than 4SC has them listed for, if a good-looking PSA 10 example hits eBay.

Looks like a 9.5 to me, oh that's right, no reason whatsoever for that grade to exist.

Here's a Gwynn I had in my collection for a while. I picked it up on some obscure auction site for under $300 in 2011. I sold it last fall and regretted it almost immediately.

Still got a little tilt, but overall pretty nice eye appeal! I'd take it back in a second.

I have a 1983 Visalia Pucket I bought in a team set recently. Edges, corners and surface are great but dead perfect 50/50 L/R it is not, but it's better than the one in the OP. Will be subbing at the Valley Forge show at the end of September. Was thinking 9 from the second I laid eyes on it and after seeing the image of the OP, now you have me jonesing for the shot at a 10. I'll still take the 9 though for my humble collection if it pans out that way.
