    I heard it was 1000 and that folks could buy a max of 5.

    Looks that way. Are both NGC and PCGS grading there? Nothing on the PCGS site yet. Was this sort of a short notice thing?

    I think AgentJim is probably correct that closer to 1,000 coins were sold at the show today.

    I also believe (but don't take my word for it) that these sales today will NOT impact the PCGS "First Strike" deadline which will probably start up when the Mint ships out its first order. Anyone wanting further confirmation on this should probably speak with Corbin in Customer Service at PCGS as I read on another thread that he had already addressed this very issue with another board member.

    I suspect that may depend upon whether PCGS allows raw coins to be submitted during that 30 day period. If they do (as usual), the coins would likely qualify I think.

    By the way, the reason I am answering these questions in the same day is that I am no longer looking to to buy these coins at the show here on the message boards.

    I was wondering if one had these graded at the show or ASAP thereafter, if PCGS would grant FS on resubmission.

    I'm curious how much I missed out on. I saw the line waiting for their turn at the mint trough. I had limited time ( less than 2 hours ) so I wouldn't have spent the time in that line for even a couple hundred bucks but if was something like 100 bucks a set then would have gave up floor time for mint trough time.

    I could foresee someone walking these through at PCGS, getting a PR70 FS, and selling it on eBay for moon money. Nobody else's would have even shipped yet.

    There are a couple on eBay now, but not FS. Since the mint took everyone by surprise, there likely isn't going to be FS until the mint actually ships them.
