Question for basketball card sellers

Have you noticed any clear pattern in terms of the optimal time of the year for sales? Are there many more eyeballs on auctions late season vs early season vs offseason?

  • I dabble a bit in basketball and have had the best reusults
selling them on eBAY from December to March.

So I get cards graded but hold back on selling them until then.

I do make an occasional exception to that rule if I have a card
that doesn't have any other competion on eBAY.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince the PSA 10 collector he didn't exist.

  • Ive only been selling/collecting for about a year and it seems early in the season most eyes are on new stuff as they get released. As the season progresses, obvious attention is paid to various MVP, Cy Young and ROY candidates. As far as sales of cards from yesteryear - it seems they survive well through all seasons. I would think more modern stuff and junk wax does better during the regular baseball season.
