Looking for info about 1990 skybox bskt ball prototypes

I was just searching eBay looking for Jordan cards and came across a 1990 skybox prototype Michael Jordan bgs 8.5. I've seen them raw before and only one sell in 9.5 gem mint, but this is the second graded one I've seen. I was curious if anyone knows anything about them like; when/how they were issued, scarcity, value etc...

Not very scarce really. They were given to dealers. I think there were dealers who had hundreds of them if I remember correctly. I have the Jordan and Robinson. I dont know what they sell for these days but unless something has changed, they were never pricey.
