1979 Dale Murphy PSA 10

I love this card because he was a childhood favorite and this is his first Topps card without other prospects. Been near the top of my want list for a long time and I've owned a bunch of the PSA 9s and two of the BVG 9.5s, both self-submitted.

Congrats to the submitter...but I would never EVER expect to get a 10 on this card with that centering and three iffy corners. Maybe it looks better in hand?

  • Don't buy that label. I've owned two 9s that looked way better. That's a great card for the submitter and for a Registry guy though, no doubt.
  • I saw this and thought the same about those corners. Even though its a 10, its not really a good 10.

Never realized that Murphy was on prospects cards 2 years running, both '77 and '78. That seems a bit odd, but it's cool to see him on the same card with Lance Parrish in ;78.
