Card looks good but not being able to verify the cert # is a major red flag for me.

It looks like one of the nicest 7's ever on that card.

Looks too good to be true, but is it possible that it was graded at the National and just not entered into the database yet? Anyone have a card graded at the National that they could check out?

i wonder if they are recycling cert numbers. if so, then Steve's theory may be correct. the seller's location is a suburb of Chicago.

I emailed the seller and he states that the card was graded at the National. That would explain it not being in the system yet.

I have seen quite a few freshly graded cards with certs starting with 2's in the past few months. Perhaps they started cards graded at the National with 3's but that would seem unlikely to break the sequence to me.

Recent cards have been starting with 216.

I would think this answer would hold up for a few more days and those graded would enter the system.

Hopefully this is exactly what happened.

Otw confirmed he received cards graded with the same 316 prefix at the National.

I went through this sellers feedback and it looked like he had only sold very low priced low grade cards and then I found a 1986 Fleer PSA 8 Michael Jordan from the beginning of this year.
