Opinions wanted: 1958 Topps Hank Aaron

I went against my recent 'don't buy raw on eBay' stance to acquire this card. It was described as Nr Mt-Mint and since the photos looked good, I decided to take a shot. If it grades out a PSA 7, I did well. If it's a 6, not so well. Please let me know what you think: there is a 14 day return policy in effect on the card.

Solid 6, unless you want a 4, then have me submit it.

    If it's a 6, not so well.
If that is the case I say return. Bottom edge (especially the back) and corners put this in a "6" slab on a good day.

+1 Only chance at a 6 is with a rookie grader / first card. More like a 5 all day long. Looks like a wrinkle on the back from the r-edge to top of the "30."
Send it back and keep looking. If seller thinks this is a NR-Mint / Mt card, he needs to see his optometrist.

I suspect that card has been in a slab at some point in its life, but was freed for some reason.

Torn between 5 and 6 so I'll wimp out and go 5.5. Those slight notches on the bottom edge of the back drop it a little. Nice card though.

Guys - thanks for all the replies. I think the card will find it's way back to the seller.

Juggs- I feel your pain. I was thinking possible 7 but with me submitting, no chance.

Lower right corner is what's going to get you. I'd agree with a 6.

Looks like a psa 6 to me but still a nice looking card.
But if you need a 7 out of it to be happy I would return it.

It has a shot at a 7. Nice looking , reasonably clean front. Nice card overall. Understand the need for you to get a 7 out of from monetary reasons, but the card would also look nice in a one touch should you decide to not submit and keep raw image

Let me get this straight. You paid $164.44 for a CHANCE at a $750-$950 PSA 8 or a $250-$300 PSA 7 and are going to return the card because it could grade a $150-$250 PSA 6 when the seller's listing states "This listing is for the card identified in the title and pictured in the photos. The stated condition of the card is just my opinion and yours may differ. Please examine the unaltered photos of the actual card you will receive to make your own determination of the card's condition."? No offense, but this is a pretty slimy thing to do to a seller who didn't really mislead you and who you were just trying to make a profit off of.

Sure, he does say "Please let me know if you have any questions, and remember that I offer a “no questions asked” money back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase.", but come on. 'Let me waste your time, effort and possible future bids on the card in a failed attempt to make a nice profit from it.'

Buying a raw card from a seller who offers returns and then returning it is not 'slimy' so even though you say 'no offense', I am taking offense.

And..I wanted to keep the card, in a PSA 7 holder, not make a nice profit from it.
