I'd never read this article before (written in 1999 for Forbes) but Deadspin posted it today. One of the best baseball articles I've ever read:

  • Thanks for sharing - fantastic article. Of all the Yankees from that era (I was and still am a Red Sox fan), he was the one I respected the most. Shame he had to die so young and so tragically.
