Did you find n effective way of managing inventory on the site and ebay simultaneously? or are you keeping to different sets of inventory?

Yes, the host says everything should work the way I want it to. If an item is sold on the site or Ebay, it should get removed from the other site right away.

Great! Not sure if you noticed, the link does not take you to www.opcbaseball.com because the Domain has not been moved to the site just yet.
Still loading lots of items! 4 straight days of scanning and my eyes are ready to fall out!
Still waiting to hear from Ebay for the ID numbers, at that point the site should be ready!

    Congrats, it looks good.

Did you feel like there was any disadvantage in changing your old ebay seller ID relative to existing potentially repeat customers and the good reputation already built with it?

Got the info I needed from Ebay. Will be up tomorrow or Wed the latest. Working out the last few kinks and scanning more stuff.
I have reached out to a select few about listing some items on the site. I am going to open it up to a few more people.
If you are interested, please send me a PM and we can discuss what you have available. Would be willing to take on graded cards/packs, nothing raw.
It doesn't have to be opc baseball image
These will be set prices and not auctions and there will be NO fees!
The way I see it, the more quality on this site, will only help it get going.

Changing my Ebay ID was difficult. I have been under that name since I started in 1998 and I do have a BIG following. I figured to get people directed to the website, I had to change my user ID.
I was thinking I could change it to www.opcbaseball.com but I think with Ebays new policy, I cant do that. I have to be tricky with my wording in each auction, letting people know about opcbaseball.com.
Correct me if I'm wrong with any of this, you Ebay experts.

easiest way to get around the ebay policy of not posting 'links' in your auctions is to make a static banner for all your auctions with the url and site info.....as for your ebay name try opcbaseballdotcom ive seen a few usernames like that

I like it, Tom. The design is very reminiscent of the OPC rough cut. I also like that you're going to have nonsport. Now just find some PSA 10 Mike Greenwells and some high grade 70s film cards and you're in business!

Free shipping on orders $50 and up? I'm a big fan of that. I do think you're going to want to allow customers to browse by year or by era. Maybe see if you can have customers adjust how many items they see per page as well. Other than that, looks pretty sharp to me. Nice work.

The search button will get you to any year your looking for which I think is better than starting to put up too many options to click

  • Great looking site Tom. In your future buying trips how about some OPC unopened? I think there's a niche for it.
    Good luck!

That's good to know. However, speaking from my own personal habits, a lot of stuff I buy is a result of aimless browsing. Just my $0.02
