Is there much of an area to relax? I'll be going with my wife, but my mother-in-law may tag along to help watch our son. I assume there's some sort of food/relaxing area. Right?

There are two or three food/sitting areas that are always in the convention hall. They can also sit out in the huge lobby area (you would not have to pay an entrance fee if they sat in the lobby but there is very limited seating out there) or if you want to totally get rid of them a new outlet mall just opened up blocks away from the hall that has caused traffic jams in and around Rosemont. I saw shuttle trolleys outside the parking area that take the huddled masses to and from the shopping mall so that might be something to consider.
It always seems like an afterthought or an after enough complaints have been raised thought. There was only one small group of tables setup Wednesday night over by a concession stand that wasn't even open (it was open the following days). The other confessions area had few stand-up tables but no seats. It wasn't until about 11:00am Thursday that some tables showed up at the concession area on the back wall. There is always plenty of room for tables a chairs at these shows, I don't quite know why it's like this every time.
Now the IX center in Cleveland always has plenty of seating and some half-way decent and variety of food!
Rant off... I still really enjoyed the show this year, probably the best one I've been to!
