How do you think PSA will grade this? It's my cleanest 78 Murray and I believe worth sending in. Thanks for your comments!

    are those black dots on the card or on the scanner bed?

    I'm far from an expert but the right and bottom edges look funky to me. Could be a scanner effect since you scanned with the lid open. If not evid trimming than I'd say 7 highest.

    edit to add: doesn't necessarily mean they won't grade it. i trashed a Schmidt rookie here once and they gave it a 7. image

    7 at best. No way it grades 8 or higher, imo. May even grade a 6-6.5 due to surface snow.


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

    I didn't scan with the scanner open. It's face down with a piece of black paper behind it to show the corners/edges. the dots in the upper right are on the card :/

    I think the print dots hold this card down. "7" at best IMO.

    Bad corners almost all-around, many print dots, not great front centering and horrible back centering. I'd be surprised if this even got a 7.

    With the abundance of print dots, soft right corners, chipping on right edge , I'll say 6.5 tops.

    Bottom corners and top right corner soft. Top left corner best of the 4 but not razor. Front centering solid, back centering off. Otherwise decently clean back. Print dots won't play as big of a part on this card due to the centering creating a good "eye appeal" and the dots are not major. Focus and registration are good. Right edge has one small notch up near near top corner, two notches down across from the trophy. Bad day at PSA it gets a 7, Good day an 8.
    Which means you can post a scan after grading and hear either:
    "Man that's a great 7!"
    or
    "Man, PSA missed this. How is that an 8?"
