FINALLY picked up a Jordan Rookie....(UPDATED: Grades in)

Found some $4 junk wax boxes at a garage sale today. I paid for them and as I was walking away I asked if he had anymore cards. He went into the house and brought out some binders with mostly 1980s hockey but also a few basketball and football cards. I picked up the three cards below for a total of $480.

You picked up the boxes of 1990 Score, but there was nothing worth buying from the 1980's hockey? What was there among the 1980's hockey?

There was a 1980 OPC Gretzky but it was way OC and a few other RCs like Coffey and Roy. On the hockey stuff he wanted near book even if the condition was off.

Agreed and a Rice 8.5 is tough to find raw, trust me I know I consider the Rice rookie undervalued and have bought about 10 raw examples and still haven't hit a PSA 9 yet.

    Nice grade on the Jordan!

So you can use one of your six free CC grades on a card of any value? I thought the Jordan would be valued too high to be used with the vouchers....

You are correct. I took a chance and valued it at the max value of $499.

Excellent find and great job of asking about having anymore cards.
  • Wow...that Jordan looks really solid. I dig that Reggie White Showboats card as well...sweet pickups.

Congrats on the grades, the Jordan alone is a $1000-$1100 card.

Not really too sure if that was good or bad ... do you realize how many more hours you are going to spend going to garage sales after that AWESOME sub?
