Geez, to think these were going for 1K a box a few years ago..

I picked up my last mini box from BBCE for about $1100 or $1200 when he broke a case a few years back. Glad I did. I knew the glut on the market would only temporarily depress prices.

Based on what individual pack prices (graded that is) have been going for on ebay, the $2250 is not terrible.

Wow, Steve is really testing the waters with some of his new pack prices. $120 for a 1975 baseball wax pack? $110 for a 1976 FB cello pack? Lets see how thirsty people are....

Steve hasn't been able to get early and mid 1970s BB unopened material in significant quantities for about 18 months now. Individual boxes are selling at huge increases to past benchmarks. The last time Steve broke at 1975 BB box last year it was at $125/pack.

This isn't testing the waters. It may actually be a buying opportunity.

LOL. That was actually in the 2nd break after we knew that these boxes contained really well-centered cards (after the first few boxes we broke).

We broke 6 boxes on the board and found some real gems. I still have some of those boxes and will probably have one of them in the
display case at National this year. Any suggestions on what to sticker price it at, or should I leave it unpriced and see what gets offered?

David, those mini boxes were really nice. Pulled a lot of mint cards from those packs. Therein lies the big question with minis, too--there are cases with certain batch numbers that were beautifully centered and then there were others with piles of OC and MC cardboard. With 75 minis, maybe more than any other set, it's feast or famine..

  • Geddy Lee bought it.

He's going to do a live rip during one of the intermissions at an upcoming Rush concert.

Still unsure as to whether PSA will be doing on site grading at the show.

At the National in Baltimore BBCE had 1975 mini boxes in the showcase for $895 (might have been $995, but $895 is stuck in my head for a reason), and Lee (CDsNuts) talked me out of it. Thanks a lot jackleg.
