Well if it's not a sealed case, your "luck" has already been decided for you as I believe the single sets were not factory sealed and the cases contained 60 sets.

Depends on whether the source knew about the variation. I went though a case several years ago looking for Will Clark cards to grade, and didn't hear about the variation until a few years after.

I'll be watching closely because I bought a sealed case of these from BBCE a while ago. I ripped about 10 of them with no luck. I sold some sets, but have about 30 left. Good luck!

Someone mentioned this Bo Jackson card in a thread not to long ago and there was one listed on EBAY for $75 and I had it on my watch list but it never sold.

I just picked up 16 sets at the Chantilly show for $30. I opened one and got 0 white letters. But i have 15 more to open.

As you open them, if you get a Bo Jackson, I'd be a buyer depending on condition.

Just a printing error, the gold color was not applied and some sets made it out into the world. Not sure of how many. They're not all over the place, but they are out there if you take the time to look.

Sounds good. The first set I opened, all the cards looked "mint". The centering on some would make them "9's" in my opinion. But the corners looked great.

STILLLLLLLLLLLLL waiting on these to arrive. They are finally in my state, according to UPS. Not sure I can give a good rating on the quickness of shipping for this buyer. Although, I was satisfied with the deal we made on price. Maybe I should just give the guy a break?

I'll have 45 entire sets, so I can probably spare one or two - LOL.

I'm planning to build a PSA10 set and then would be willing to part with the rest.

Each set is individually wrapped inside of the single "Highlights" boxed set. I picked up a 15-set box. I opened one set and it contained the typical yellow version. Wishing you luck with your 45-sets. Keep us updated....fingers crossed.

I had one in the closet sealed that I got back in 86. I opened it yesterday and I too had the correct version. Keep us updated.

Good luck. I have no real knowledge, but it would seem surprising to fine one white letter set in a case with regular versions...but who knows?

If you find one, I'd love a shot at the Will Clark.

Well, if that's true and I do find one then I'll have 15 sets. I've got 3 cases coming so we'll see how my luck goes in a few hours...

As far as the Will Clark, I may consider selling cards other than Bo to fund my Master collection. Will keep you updated.

Sneak peek. Running to the store then I look inside:

Busted three of these tonight, one from each box. All were the standard version. These packs are still in the original cellophane within the cardboard boxes, great smell when you open them. I don't have enough pennies to open them all so I'll probably wait on the rest.

Decided to open them gently and slip back into the cellophane until I can get more sleeves. No white letters were present in all 45 sets.
