Thoughts on a Crossover Here?

I've never done a crossover, but this seems like a good candidate. The scan is a little fuzzy, so imagine better registration. The back looks good. The only problems I see with the card is some very minor chipping in the top left corner (less than 1/32nd of an inch) and the small red mark near the middle of the left border. I'm not sure what it is, but suspect it may be the primary reason for the grade.
I'd need a PSA 7 for it to be financially worthwhile. Thoughts?

Always looking for vintage White Sox cards at reasonable prices.

For what it's worth, I have sent in probably 10-15 cards for a crossover minimum grade and my hit rate is an astounding 0%! I have sent in SGC 96's, BVG 9's, KSA 10, etc looking for 9's and never got it
For reasons I need not go into, I think it's very difficult to get a comparable crossover grade from PSA

Last April I sent in one BVG (1940's boxing) and one SGC (1920's golf) to PSA for crossover with minimum grade being the same as what was on the holders they were already in, and successfully crossed over both, getting the same grades with no bumpage but good enough for me.
I cracked out a PSA 5 (1940's baseball) thinking it should be a 7 and sent it raw/cracked to SGC and it came back ungraded EOT. It's going back to Newport Beach this month
I cracked out a PSA 6 (1960's baseball) thinking it should be a 7 and sent it raw/cracked to SGC and it came back an SGC 5. It's going back to Newport Beach this month.
I sent in a PRO to PSA for crossover with minimum grade being 2.5 lower than the PRO slab and it didn't hit minimum.
I sent a GEM-Elite 10 to KSA (yeah, I know, don't need to start about KSA, but there was a specific reason for this particular situation... GEM Elite is BS but sometimes a KSA 10 will sell for a lot more than a PSA 8, which is what I expected it would have received, if it is the right hockey card and you're hoping for Canadian buyers) and it crossed over w/ equal grade 10 as well.
I sent an SGC (1930's hockey) to PSA w/ minimum grade being a 0.5 bump and missed on that one too.
Someone on this board once said "If the grade doesn't fit, you must re-submit." Holds true often for me, but sometimes doesn't end up lucky.
<< <i>Best chance is to crack it and send it raw. >>
I agree. If you send it in raw, I think the worst you should get is a 6, and possibly a 7 or 7.5.
