This is a really cool set of wrestling cards that came out in 1985 and featured wrestlers from numerous promotions and is 54 cards in size.
I decided to take one of my uncut magazines and break it apart today.
There are very small perforations on the pages but there is no way you can break them apart and must cut them. I damaged the upper right hand corner on my Ric Flair trying.
From a grading stand point this is going to be a really tough set because almost all of the magazines I have ever seen have very little white border on the top and this will cause a lower grade automatically.
Many of the top cards in the set are affected.
Here are the scans of some of my favorite cards.
The cover.
Hulk Hogan in a candid shot from Japan.
The Nature Boy!
These guys drove the fans wild in Texas!
I view this as Roddy Pipers best card from 1985.
I love this card! In 1985 he was the top heal in the CWF which I watched every Sunday after church and when he came on my mom forced us to shot it off. We wanted to watch so bad!
Kevin Von Erich was an awesome pro wrestler. He worked so stiff in the ring.
I was scared to death of King Kong Bundy as a kid! LOL
This guy had a bright future in wrestling cut short. His match at Starcade 86 against Tully Blanchard was awesome!
This is my favorite card in this set. The Road Warriors were just awesome.
The Andre card is on the top of the second to last sheet and is impacted by the top border.

Billy Jack Haynes was one of the top prospects in wrestling in 1984 and 1985. What a physique this guy had!

<< <i>If anybody has a Salvatore Bellomo from this set I'm VERY interested. >>
He is not in this set. His only card is from the 1983 Wrestling All Stars set.
I have a few extra raw copies if you want to buy one for $77,000.

That's a lot of dough, I'll have to think about it. It's a nice Bellomo though, no doubt about it.
Looking to BUY n332 1889 SF Hess cards and high grade cards from 19th century especially. "Once you have wrestled everything else in life is easy" Dan Gable

I threw in an offer as soon as I saw it listed. If I can get this into a numerical PSA holder that would be awesome!

There are a few cards from the set that I think have tremendous potential and I was very pleased two of them came out well this time. I think these two look really sharp.
I view this is Roddy Piper's best card.
This is as far as we know the first trading card The Road Warriors appeared on and a great shot.
Here is one of the few that were graded early and are obviously hand cut. You can see with this listing why the Hogan would have been such a great card with white on the top border.

<< <i>i would have guessed the fact that psa no longer grades these the same way would hurt the value.. that being said though i wouldnt sell the psa 7 road warriors i have because i know wont be able to replace it... so i guess if there is a collector out there looking for a numebr grade.. the seller could name his price. >>
I believe this card sold initially for $119. It was 4SC who sold it.
It appears the word is out that PSA will no longer grade these in the manner in which they originally did.
The price is obviously someone fishing. After seeing what this card graded I feel very confident that the one's I sent in that now reside in AUTH slabs would have graded very high.
I did a google search looking for Bruiser Brody images and found this site with some cool custom WCCW Wrestling All Stars.
Looks like PSA is grading these again?
It is all about the perforations.
I have no clue how someone was able to separate them in that manner.
On a side note. I wonder if Photobucket reversed course as I see this thread was from 2013.
Ah so they still won’t grade hand cut versions. Just with perforations. I misunderstood.
Rob was successful in cutting some and leaving the perforations but they don't fray like the one you posted. The ones posted above are in AUTH holders. If you look at the pop report there are a good number that way.
