It seems from his feedback that he actually does sell cards, but I have absolutely no idea how. Many of his cards still wouldn't be a good deal even if he wrapped them in a $100 bill for protection during shipping.

I'm ignoring crayon cards with this comment, but speaking to the general idea of a vendor offering a number grade with the card.
If you are buying the card and not the holder, AND if they are consistent with their grades, then it's a great way to buy a card online. PSA collectors mostly buy holders from what I can see so the idea is laughable to them. But keep in mind the ridiculous amount of re-subbing that happens and all the posts with obvious mis-grades. Plus think of all the false value created from the registry (pissing contest). If the public perception of PSA ever changes, or the registry guys all realize that many are just acting like Jr High girls comparing clothing, then the reality of the value in the actual cards in a big psa collection is going to hit the collector like a ton of bricks.
Having said that, I don't think people will be changing any time soon, so I guess everyone should probably just keep buying the psa holders and ignore things like Dan's Cards, even if it's a vendor who manages to do a good job with the grading.

Looked for about a week every day before settling for one of them but I kept getting this one in my search:
