1948 Leaf Football Collectors - White Background variations?

I know there are a couple of us on here that collect the 1948 Leaf Football set. I was wondering what you guys know about the white background variations? I always thought that they were examples printed without the background color. There is a Sid Luckman "white background" variation in the current Goodwin auction that looks like the yellow has been faded to almost white. Luckman White Background?

Does anyone know whether this Luckman is consistent with the other white background variations?

The Luckman example in Goodwin is NOT a White Background. It is just a faded Yellow Background. The White Backgrounds are absent the background color...

If this were a White Background, the yellow would be absent in the background and also the jersey number and the stripes on the sleeve. The yellow is most faded in the background, but it is present. Someone is going to over pay for a PSA 1 regular Luckman...

Thanks Scott, that's what I thought but did have any examples in my collection to compare.

I think someone is going to be very unhappy with their $687.82 purchase.
