I think I can see split serifs in the word "DEUTCHES," now that I look more carefully, especially in the T and the H.

Thanks for posting the pictures and replying sumnom, I really appreciate it! Also, if you look closely at the U in DEUTSCHES there looks to be a another notched U on top of the original that is shifted up and right.
