1975 Mini Cello Box

Just noticed that one is up on BBCE. Not sure what to set the over/under on how long it will take to sell. If there's no immediate action, could this be prime group break material?! image

I was just about to start a thread about that myself, LOL!

Would love to do a group rip on that box. I will PM Mark and see if we can set it up.

Even if we secured it for a group rip, it would probably sell out within the first minute like that 76 cello box we did that had the stars showing. That thread was incredible - I think we were on page three within 3 minutes.

If Steve still gave the 10% group rip discount, that would come out to $112.50 per pack. As has been said, that box would sell out in no time.

I believe he has several boxes so even if one or two are bought we should be able to work it out.

  • I am fascinated and mildly amused by how fast some of the stuff flies off the shelv..err.. website. Over the weekend I picked up an '83 Topps vending box from BBCE and a day later, the website doesn't list them. (Assuming he sold out). This '75 Topps box is an absolute beauty. The $3,000 price tag is impressive as well. If you all do get a group-rippage together, please post scans. Those 75's are some of the most beautiful looking cards Topps ever did.

I emailed Steve EARLY this morning to try and reserve one. I don't know if I got it yet but will let the board know.

What's madness is, how much money do you think Steve leaves on the table when he sells boxes like this? If he would have listed it at $4000, do you think it would have sold just as fast? I think it would have.

I don't know about $4K, but it would have been a good test of the market to see.
  • grote15grote15 Posts: 29,743 ✭✭✭✭✭
4k? Even in this market that would be a stretch imo.

don't think we are at the $4K mark yet on the '75 mini cello boxes--

maybe by Christmas it'll be close though--and I am not kidding

Sorry guys, I wasn't able to get one of the 75 mini cello boxes. However, I am working with Steve to get another break going this month.

    Stayed tuned.

If he does, methinks Steve will need to raise his buy prices or Tim's box is staying where it is!
