All this talk about the I Dream of Jeannie bottle made me think about some of my favorite childhood sitcoms. Does anyone here remember the episode of Bewtiched with Willie Mays in it? If I remember right, he was actually pretty good in it, albeit a short scene.

<< <i>It's not on You Tube so it must not exist >>
Oh it exist. Sony blocked the episode on copyright grounds (whatever that means). I found the episode set to Frank Sinatra's "withcraft". You can see him, but can't make out what he is saying....
<< <i>I definitely remember Meadowlark Lemon on Scooby Doo and Lance Parrish appearing on Diff'rent Strokes. >>
Kareen Abdul Jabbar was on Different Strokes one time. I am partial to the older athletes though. That is why I like the Willie Mays episode.
June Lockhart (Lassie & Lost in Space) in the Bewitched episode, "Little Pictures Have Big Ears"
Raquel Welch as a stewardess in "Witch or Wife"
Adam West (Batman) in "Love is Blind"
Willie Mays as himself in the Bewitched episode "Twitch or Treat"
Isabel Sanford (The Jeffersons) as Aunt Jenny in "Samantha Goes South For a Spell"
Tom Bosley (Happy Days) in "Samantha's Majic Mirror"
Cesar Romero in "Salem, Here We Come"
Will Geer (The Waltons) in "George Washington Zapped Here: Pts. 1 & 2"
Shane

You forgot, football player Deacon Jones. He appeared in the very first episode that feature the "new Dick/Darrin"!
The athlete Brady Bunch cameos were (in order of appearance) Wes Parker (Season 1), Don Drysdale (Season 2), Deacon Jones (Season 2), and Joe Namath (Season 5).

Magnum is supposed to be a die-hard Tiger fan, but he doesn't recognize them. I do like the idea of Lou and Tram hanging out in local bars handing out free tickets though.
Having said all of that, the entire softball episode (Homer at the Bat) of The Simpson is pretty classic. The synopsis is that the owner of the nuclear power plant (Mr. Burns) hires a bunch of big leaguers to work at his plant so he'll have a team of lineup for his softball team. The following players lent their voices to the episode:
Roger Clemens
Wade Boggs
Don Mattingly
Jose Canseco
Ken Griffey Jr.
Steve Sax
Darryl Strawberry
Mike Scioscia
Ozzie Smith
In the DVD commentary the makers of the show said all of the players were great to work with "except the one whose name rhymes with 'manseco'."
