so, did I buy an obvious fake?
bought on impulse. doesn't look terrible to me. I have return option so when I weigh and size it that'll tell me if it's obviously bad...but here are the images.

I waste more money on this type of stuff!

<< <i>A pic of the edge would help, but I don't see anything that suggests that this is other than a circulated, moderately chopped 8R. Why do you think it might not be real? >>
I thought it looked ok which is why I took a little poke at it, but the seller is taking a "not familiar with it" type tact so that always raises a red flag. I'll size and weigh it once it comes in, it'll make a nice ballmark for golf if real
thanks peeps!
PS- it's a CircCam, too.
*with my usual disclosure that you can't do this kind of thing from a photo.

<< <i>C'mon, Frank, real or not it'll make an excellent ball marker. If it's fake it'll just be a ball marker you paid too much for.
LOL TRM
just to put a bow on this, received the coin and it totally kicks butt. I have zero concerns about it not being real, perfect ringing silver and the heft and size are just right. sooo neat looking and inexpensive enough to just keep in your pocket!!!
It's History! In your pocket! (tm)
