1985 Japanese Takara/NTV Transformer Menko Card Set

I found this partial 1985 Japanese Takara/NTV Transformer Menko Set a few weeks ago. Although the menko cards are less desirable than the mini cards, I still really liked the design and layout of these menko. I have six different doubles of them....PM me if interested in the doubles.

Is the same artwork used in the toys boxes and packages?

I'm not sure, but I'm thinkin there are more in the set however.

Just glancing at the cards, it looks like several of the characters artwork is the same (or VERY close) to that of my beloved '85 Hasbro set. Megatron is much different though.

I was searching and looking. It looks like Hasbro just get all the package even the illustrations from Takara. Just a fusion of some Takara toys and a big single promotion. Presto! You have the Transformers. A big Franchise that even today kids are enjoying.

I've been doing a search on these for a while, but they are hard to come by these days. Hopefully a few lots will pop up. Still have the6 doubles. Plan on listing them on eBay here in the next few weeks or so.
