is there still a planned group rip this month?

Thought I remember reading about a planned group purchase during July. Apparently Steve had something good set aside? Anybody know anything?

I'd love to see one come to fruition. I think Mark said one would be in the works at some point.

I was thinking about it today as I was checking out BBCE's website. I saw a box of 1993 Finest Baseball that had group rip written all over it!

Marc, I will take lots of pictures for you and the guys at the show. Anything in particular you want to see? I definitely be taking lots of unopened material pictures. image

  • Thank you Mike. Just pictures of your trip/show would be great. I sooooo wanted to go this year too but had to officially make the decision to drop out about 2-3 months ago. You need some serious bankroll to attend and I just couldn't afford it. I would end up running out of funds either by the 8th table closest to the entrance possibly from seeing so much awesomeness or I would spend all my funds on the 1st day that the next 2 days I wouldn't know what to do and me having very little self control along with the "I gotta have it" mentality which would most likely result into me maxing out my CC and I cant have that now. lol

No problem Marc. I look at it as a mini-vacation and take my wife with me. We are actually going to the Dodgers - Cubs game on Thursday night so I'll be sure to take some pictures there as well. And you are right, you definitely need self control at a show like the National. Maybe we'll see you next year in Cleveland.

I can take some pictures this year as well. I will probably be there on Thursday and will have all day to browse since I wont be rushed. I have already told my wife she will not see me that day. lol.

Does anyone know what day and time the group rip will happen? If it is Thursday I can be sure to be there.
I am on a budget and I am not afraid to use it!!

<< <i>So now we have the National Convention in 6-7 weeks. We will have unopened material. We do NOT have to have any type of Group Rip for it. The stuff is going to sell anyway, without any problems, without any extra work. HOWEVER, I would like to do one anyway, because you guys who participate are great! Believe me, I would like to be on your side of the table most of the time. So sometime in July I will let Mark Hooks know about a few products I have in mind and then Mark and you guys can figure out a way to do it so it can be picked up at the show or mailed out like usual. Maybe you guys who are going to the show can plan something to do there on the spot. Any ideas you come up with will be fine by me. >>

I pulled this from the BBCE thread. Looks like the timeframe is this month so we should be hearing something soon. I can try to coordinate with Mark at get this setup so guys going to the National can get their stuff when we have our CU get togthers at 2pm each day at the show. For those guys not coming, maybe we can start a thread for all the carnage you guys will inflict or to just show pcitures of what you got if you choose to keep it unopened.
