1. The 54-O is more famous. 2. There are many New Orleans specialists, but I've never met a Philly specialist. 3. Until the past 20 years or so, most Double Eagle collectors would have happily filled the 1882 hole with a proof, so the demand for business strikes was not as intense. Things have changed, but prices can be slow to respond.
