From Pop 0 to Pop 1 OR From Pop 0 to Pop 4?

If you have a card that has never been graded a 10 hit the mark, that's a good thing. What if you have 4 of the same card that have never been graded a 10, that would grade a 10. Do you sub them all at once? Do you sub them one at a time hoping nobody else subs one as well? Any insight is appreciated!

<< <i>in my world, i'd sub those supposed 10's together and await the 8's. >>

Of course, this might only be a coincidence. Perhaps all of those 10s would've occurred no matter what cards they were submitted with.
Thanks

I think there's 2 aspects to consider: the first being that a pop 1 will sell for a higher price than a pop 4 as mentioned. The other is something that was hinted at above as well and that is that if you have two of the same card sub'd at the same time, I can't imagine there wouldn't be some sort of comparison between the 2 for condition taking place during grading. If both might be 10's but one might be an ever so slightly stronger 10 than the other, I would break it up so that the lesser of the two still had its best shot at possible 10 without being downgraded just because there was a nicer one sitting right next to it. Probably just paranoia about the grading process there, but it is my strategy nonetheless.
If there is an item you have where it is a bit more rare and it would be the first one graded, or maybe there are a couple but they are all very low grade, and you own two where the two are distinctly different grades but both higher than existing pop, then I usually sub the lower grade one first, sell it, then sub the higher grade one, since it makes the lower one of the 2 look a little better off on its sale as compared to if the higher one was already on the pop report.
Lastly, if subbing something like euro or OPC issues where it was a little more common to have minor size variance, I believe it safer to sub one item per set if you have any size variance at all, instead of both together, in an instance where they might be less than 1/16" off in sizing from each other but still detectably different, in order to best avoid getting a miscut or minsize simply due to comparison between the two. I have had items subbed together in a single order where one among them from the same set was a tiny bit smaller and that one came back minsize, but then resubbed in another order without cards from the same set and the former minsize was graded.
There are only two reasons a card has never graded a 10. It is either super condition sensitive or very few have been sent in.
Which is the case with the card you are referencing?
Dpeck100 - I'm sure I'm not the only one with these. As with most everything, it's just a matter of time. To answer your question, I'd say a little of both. More so the not many being subbed though. I was really just curious about people would handle the issue itself. Not that the cards I have are monsters or anything. They aren't. I appreciate it!

If it were me I would send them all in. The odds of them all coming back a 10 are low and if so then others will be submitted for a 10 too. I have a number of cards at PSA now where this is the case and I sent them all in. I am a collector first so I want to make sure I get one that achieves the highest grade possible if I can so I am willing to send in a number of strong examples to increase my odds. I don't think you hurt the value as much as one might think if you control all of the high grade examples that have been graded. If someone else wants one you are the only game in town.

To clarify my post, I would agree w/ Dpeck in that I would also send them all in. However, personally I would probably line up monthly subs, and send in one with each successive month's order. Also, that way when you get one back slabbed, you can compare its grade with the raw ones you still have to see how your eye matches up with the graders when determining your plans for the rest (unless you send them in each month but the PSA backlog has them all on file and pending before you get the first one back completed).
