1962 Shirriff Baseball coins, looking for some info

A guy i'm meeting in Canada told me he has the 1962 Shirriff coins. I dont know if he has a set or a bunch of singles, my guess its a set.
I see PSA grades these. What kind of demand is there on these or is this the type of item that sells better ungraded?
Another question is, what am I looking for to figure out the condition? Looks like its a piece of round cardboard inside a plastic coin.
I would think the key is the cardboard where the plastic piece for the most part is in nice condition?

I collect them off and on I really look at how clean they look.
I for one do not like them when they yellow a lot. They are paper inserts inside the plastic coin.
I think you should look on ebay at the graded coins and that will give you a better idea what to look for.
    Good luck.

I collect these coins. They are the Salada-Junket parallel set which were issued in Canada inside bags of Shirriff potato chips. Unlike the Salada set, there are no major variations, all variants in the Shirriff set would be the equivalent to the common counterpart in the Salada set.

They are under-appreciated, and in my opinion, undervalued much the same way O-Pee-Chee items are. I suspect eventually the rarity will become more popular with collectors.

The coins are where the condition largely lies. Look for chipping along the edges.
