My 1,000th Post -- A Small Tribute

Well, it's taken me over 10 years to get here, but yes, finally, the milestone has
been eclipsed... 1,000 FREAKIN' POSTS!!! image

But in all seriousness, this has been a cool place to check into over the years,
and it's always fun to see what everyone else is excited about in the hobby.
It's also great to make friends through card collecting, and the friendships
can often be more valuable than the cards.

For my EPIC 1,000th post, I was going to do something like post my top 10
favorite cards, etc., but I figured it would be more fun to post a few of my
favorite cards that belong to other members on this forum.
Yes, I am going to show off other people's cards. image

Thanks to all who contribute here by offering knowledge and/or posting scans,
whether they're low grade, high grade, raw, or slabbed. Good luck with your
collections! I could've gone on much longer with this list, but I tried to keep
it somewhat short.

So, without further ado, here are some cool, memorable cards that I've seen
posted here by fellow members over the years on this forum...

    Chuck,

Great choices on the cards. I've seen a majority of them, but it is nice to see them all in one place. image

Congrats on hitting 1,000 and looking forward to the next 1,000. image

  • Loved this thread. I wish more guys would post pictures of cards such as you just did. I was actually surprised to see my Maris on this list. It's my favorite of all his cards. Loved looking at all the other great choices as well.

    Cheers!

Congrats Chuck! Your collection is top notch. I could easily pick 10 cards from your collection that would make my favorites list for sure. It seems like I look at your website daily and admire how many nice cards you have assembled. I'm honored that you chose one of my card. image

Thanks, guys I appreciate it and glad you enjoyed it.

It's an awesome card, Maurice, and I considered it, but:

    A) I didn't see it posted here (I caught it on Net54)

    2) Matt's '52 Mick is pretty damn sweet, and

    III) Ahhh... what the hell

Hey ... Thanks for including my card Chuck. Not nearly as valuable as many you listed, but it's one of my favorites out of all the cards that I ever owned.

Any time, Doug -- it's a perfect combo, especially for your collection.

Mike -- yep, Matt C's Ruth is really nice for the grade -- minor paper loss on the reverse.
