1887 Kalamazaoo Bats

I picked up 6 of these cards. I know they are rare and these are in poor to good shape. Does anyone have any insight to the cards? The designation is N690

You picked up 6 K Bats? Are you sure they're authentic?

    Post some scans.

Yeah I believe they are authentic. I found them in an Estate auction in rural VA. 4 are pretty rough, fair at best, 3 have some minor paper loss, I had to bid against 2 dealers and I paid for them. $3130 for the 6. I will post scans tomorrow. 3 of them have none graded by PSA. I wish I could tell if SGC graded any. The auction was part of a complete dispersal of property of the owner who was 101 when he passed away in April. Im debating on sending to PSA or SGC. I also bought some other portrait cards from the same era but have zero idea of what those are.

Cool, I wonder what library they came from.

I also bought 5 women portrait cabinet cards and just found out what they are. They are from a 590 card set of actors and actresses that were printed from 1853 to 1910. One of the actresses was Agnes Booth who died in 1901.

One of the K Bats is McGan (its titled in VCP as McGarr but the pic matches, VCP mispelled the card), a PSA 2 sold for 43K years ago according to VCP. Its of course the worst of the lot with paper loss and a surface tear. Hey I'll take Authentic grades on all and be happy but 2 might grade PSA 2, the others are rough

I'd love to see the cards. Hopefully they check out for you. This would be a huge purchase if they're the real deal. Congrats!

really depends on the players. Philadelphia players are (relatively) easy -- NY players are exceptionally scarce-
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Congrats! I can't see how you won't make a considerable return on your money Bob. If you've got a NY player that hasn't come up in the last 5-10 years you won the lottery.
