I wouldn't "invest" a single dollar in anyone's autograph that's still alive. Once they've been a known quantity for two years these days the market is over-saturated.

I pay signing fees all the time, but I'm a collector and not an investor. If you want to invest in autographs, buy dead HOFers.

Don't 'invest' in anyone that is doing autograph shows! I know of a couple of players that are nobody's that bring big bucks just because they don't sign and usually cannot be located.
