Going to the National? Wanna go to Wrigley at night?

figured that it would be a great idea to catch a night game at Wrigley. Not sure but isn't this the 1st year they have had night games? May be a chance to be part of history.

Cubbies are playing the Brewers. Tuesday the 30th is a double header. Weds is a 7:05 start. Not sure how many are arriving Tuesday.

I am definately going. Am arriving Tuesday. Let me know if anyone has any interest in attending. I wil proably go Tuesday as I plan to attend the sneak peek.

I won't be there, but the Cubs have been playing night games @ Wrigley for only a QUARTER OF A CENTURY.........

The first Official night game was on 8-8-88, and that game had a 100yr old + Cubs fan light the lights in a ceremony. It was awesome, I watched it live on WGN. Unfortunately the game was rained out so the official official date is actually 8-9-88. So yes this august will be 25yrs that they have had night games.

Now here is the irony to my personal Cub games: I have been to several games started at 1PM or 3PM (Day games) where the lights have been turned on d/t the weather being overcast or the length of the game. I have never attended a "Night game".

I would be willing to go.

I had the honor of being at the first night game on 8-8-88 and got freaking soaked like pretty much everyone else did. It was a great night despite the rain as it was literally a playoff type atmosphere. With all of the media and celebrities running around it was a night that will be hard to forget...and I have seen many many baseball games in person.

Have fun at the game guys. Wrigley may not be the best place to see a ball game but the history dripping from that place is amazing.
