1949 Canadian cent

I am looking at some varieties on the Canadian 1 cent. Noticed 1949 has an A to denticle and an A not to denticle. The first being rarer. I think I may have found one in my first attempt at a coin shop. I am new to grading but guess g-vg? Ill post pics as soon as I can. Does anyone have values and diags for this variety?

Thanks

It Trends for $10 in F-12 ($7 in VG-8), so it's worth $5-$6 in F ... you normally can't sell a coin to a book or newspaper and you'd be hard-pressed to find a buyer for more than 70% of Trends for modern coins. It's still a keeper ... good find.

I paid .25 for it. Any good reference online or book on grading?

Charlton has a grading book. I forget the exact title and I've misplaced mine.

Standard Grading Guide for Canadian Coins by Charlton and Willey. I bought mine on eBay.
