Foriegners minted in the U.S.

I own a 1963 P U.S. dime. The problem is its not silver as it should be.In fact its black with a brownish tint. The reeding is tarnished green indicating cooper and the weight is 2.5 g. In 1962 and 1963 The U.S. mint in Phillidelphia was minting eithiopian dimes in the second birr .Is there a way I can find the stats (weight, composition, dimensions) On the 10/ 100 second birr? Could a 1963 us dime be struck on this stock?any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

For Mexico, this list copied the error about the 1949 restrikes of the 1898 peso that were made for China.

<< <i>All coins feature the Mexico City Mint mark where the dies were manufactured.
Dated 1898 and represent a restrike with 131 denticles instead of the original 139 denticles.
This the only US struck Mexican coin that can be positively identified as originating from a US mint. >>

Actually the dies for these coins were made in Mexico City and some dies were sent to San Francisco.
The coins produced by Mexico City and San Francisco would be identical.

I'm mobile so I haven't clicked Becky's link but our hosts have a thorough Registry Set of foreign coins by US Mint. User Georgio (of VDBcoins.com) posted a thread about it recently (like within the last year). Try searching PCGS and the forum it may appear.
