image 1919S Came Today. Fantastic Service from "Allens Coin Shop" in Ohio. Sent a Personal Check and Stiil got the Dime in One Week. They Did Not know Me from Joe Blow so They Must Be Very Trusting People. Called them and Thanked Them for the Service.

OK, serious question for you guys. What would be a good source for a single MS-67FB with attractive and colorful toning. Mine is blast white, and frankly, silver tones with age. I want all of the classic silver coins in my 20th Century set to have some color, even if it is just attractive rim toning like my current icon.

          Hey Dennis:
            HAPPY BIRTHDAY
              What are You 29 Again.image
The 19S has a Goldish/Brown Tone with Nice Luster and a Decent Strike. All in All I am Pleased with it as a 63. The NGC 64 that PCGS Would Not Cross puts it to Shame though. Figure that.image

There Is This Clown in Seattle that says He has 3 16D's. Tomorrow I will see if he Speaks With A Forked Tongue.image Actually I would rather get the Other 4 or is it 5 that are Needed before the 16D. Like I have Said before the 16D is Easy.
Dennis here is a Serious Question about Texas. Keith says Texas has a Mountain that Approaches 10,000 Ft High. Is He on Bad Drugs or Something ? Also Spooly says he lives in the Hill Country in Texas !! I know He is on Bad Drugs. Please Confirm if they are Telling the TRUTH. I want No Disappointments when I come to Texas.image

Tax season took its toll on many merc dime collectors. Also we have trouble finding the merc postings in between all the modern postings.

I have not bought any mercs since the Krtitzman 1945-S micro-s dime in PCGS MS67FB that was auctioned by Heritage back in January. Demand has slowed for the dimes but so has the supplies of FB dimes in superb gem mint state. The series is taking an overdue rest after all the excitement of the past few years. It is needed. Nothing goes straight up forever.

I think Keith said Texas has a mountain approching 10 feet high. It was in response my comment that it was too flat. I did look it up though, and the highest point is 8,749 feet (which is approaching 10,000).

Spooly's right. Texas has hills in some areas, but no 10,000 foot mountains. According to the World Almanac, the highest point in the state is 8,749 ft above sea level. Avoid driving east from El Paso at all costs! It's the most god-forsaken area I've ever seen - flat as a pancake and nearly void of any vegetation - and it seems that it will never end.

Merc's remain my current #1 goal. I'm now hoping to have 3 additions next week. That might be enough to move up a notch or two, but only if some of those guys ahead of me will lay off their incessant buying binges. I think they should explore the beauty of state quarters, clad Roosevelts, SBA's, or Ike dollars, and ditch the dame with the wings on her hat. image I mean, would you actually want to be seen in public with a woman who dressed like that???image I doubt that'll discourage the Merc crowd, though; they're SO competitive.

Ken, where's the picture of that new '19-S? You've probably had it for 12 hours already. How much time do you NEED to take a couple of pictures?image A comparison with your NGC64 would be interesting.

                        Jim:
When I get Back from Seattle this Afternoon I just Might put the Comparison Up. Lately I have been Trying to take it Easy on PCGS who has Many Gradeing Woe's. I also Received 2 Mercs Back from PCGS this Week that IMO are Under Graded.image Whats New?? Atleast they were not in Body Bags.image Just happen to have Doubles in them Also.
I was sort of Holding Off on the Pictures waiting for a Couple of Other Dimes to Show Up at Thier New Home.

I said that Texans tend to exagerate a bit. Guadalupe Peak is only 8,749 as pointed out, and true there isn't a lot of mountanous areas in Texas, but we do have hills. Spooly lives in the Hill Country. There are hills there, and the area is generally pretty. Spooly is on bad drugs. Me, I think my drugs are good. image

Figure of Speech Keith and Spooly. I think I should Come up with something Else besides that Statement.
SORRY. Will Not Use it Again.
