Macro Lenses for Numismatic Photography

I have several types of Macro Lenses available. They are all full manual and without focusing mechanisms, so are suitable mostly for fixed studio-type setups, not for walk-around pics of bugs or flowers. They require an adapter to fit your DSLR or Mirrorless camera, and some way to adjust focus. This can be done with several methods including focusing helicoids (most expensive), bellows (mid-range pricing), or extension tubes (lowest cost but least adjustable). If you take pics of a wide range of coin denominations, a bellows is your best bet. If you mostly take pics of one denomination, then you can get away with extension tubes and indeed they may be your best choice. I can help you adapt the lenses to your camera and provide the best focusing mechanism for your needs.

Here are the lenses I have available (I have more, please inquire if you have particular needs):

- Spiratone 75mm f/3.5 Flat Field Macro $75
- Spiratone 150mm f/4 MacroTel $85
- Nikon 75mm f/4 EL-Nikkor $85
- Nikon 105mm f/5.6 EL-Nikkor $125
- Rodenstock 75mm f/4 Apo Rodagon D M=1 (Fixed f/4) $199
- Rodenstock 75mm f/4 Apo Rodagon D M=1 (Variable aperture) $299
- Nikon 105mm f/2.8 Printing Nikkor $1500

I also have a range of fixed magnification (3x, 4x, 5x, 6x) objectives available for variety shots ranging from $25 to $125. PM me for your needs.

    - Rodenstock 75mm f/4 Apo Rodagon D M=1 (Fixed f/4) $175 (PRICE REDUCED)

Forgot to mention that a 75mm lens is probably all you need for most coin shots. Dedicated macro lenses generally shorten focal length for higher magnifications, so a 75mm fixed focal length lens is more like a 135mm Dedicated Macro. A 105mm is more like a 150mm, and so on. With fixed focal lengths you can get away with shorter lenses, and this also keeps your setup smaller when shooting larger coins...
