When do you ask for a back scan and how important is the back to you?

Generally, what dollar level does a card need to be for you to request a scan of the back? What is the lowest dollar card you requested a back scan of? Are there criteria other then price that will make you want to see a scan of the back?

If you buy an inexpensive common without seeing the back and the back is horrible, will you rebuy it to get a better example?

If you buy a "relatively" inexpensive (not a common) card without seeing the back and the back is horrible, will you rebuy it to get a better example?

  • If it's a card that I want, especially if it's graded, I always ask for a back picture/scan regardless of price or grade. I would, and do, rebuy if the backs are terrible. Maybe that's just my OCD coming out, but I gotta do what I gotta do.

Never, but I'll be in the exception/not rule category with some others. It's never been a deal breaker. I only seek personal collection cards and never display the backs image
